Solving problems is not only a goal of learning mathematics, but also a major means of doing so.
Importance
Children are both problem solvers and problem generators, they not only attempt to solve problems preserved to them, but they also seek and create novel challenges (tantangan lebih tinggi).. It seems that humans have a need to solve problems.
How it works (with math)
Non routine problems require productive thinking because the learner needs to invent a way to understand and solve the problem.
Problem Solving means engaging in a task for which the solution method is not known in advance
Semakin luas fondasinya maka akan semakin tinggi bangunannya, mesti memperkuat fondasi di matematika untuk bisa mengatasi masalah yang lebih tinggi.
